I have just built a new system, and I am satisfied however Im having some issues with the sound. Im running the sound from my motherboard (Asus PT6 SE). Whenever i plug in headphones or if im listening on high volumes on my speakers, I hear a distubing internal sound from the computer sounds kind of static. When I scroll the mouse I hear it scroll through the speakers or headphones. How can I fix this problem and filter out the annoying sounds, do I need to buy a separate sound card? and if so should i get a pci or pci express card?

Try this one.

At sound properties select advance, uncheck allow applications to take exclusive control of this devise and select any 16 bit or 24 bit 44100 KHz.

Most cases this works when I'm using Soundblaster cards.
