Confused between three laptops. Please help!

Since my vaio is dead, I am trying to get a new laptop of low budget. I have selected three laptops - Asus E402NA, Lenovo V310 and Dell Latitude 3460. All three of them are quite similar in configuration except for the battery and processors. Battery isn't a big deal for me as its for home use only. But I am confused about which processor to choose from.

Asus- Pentium N4200
Lenovo- Pentium Dual Core 4405U
Dell- Core i3 5th gen 5005U

I will basically be using it for Email, Netflix, MS Office, Adobe Photoshop CS6 and downloading uploading of large files into my google drive and ex-hdd. (often doing multi tasking with these)

So please help me in deciding which processor would be good for my use. Thanks in advance.

If we were to answer with the vague information you've provided(in terms of laptop specs) then I'd choose the Dell laptop in your shortlist however, it'd be a good idea for you to post a link to all three units as well as their proposed cost. Adobe's CS6 will tax the system a little and depending on what you work on, then it might tax the system further, where a dedicated GPU would come to benefit for you.

My budget is around $400 & I strictly want a 14" laptop. And also since I am from India so there are limited options but still if want to suggest, you can. I will look up if they're available here.

Comparing the 3 you've picked out, they're relatively the same specifications, except from the processor and the hard drive capacity's. While you're not going to get blown away from with incredible performance, the 'DELL' with the i3 will benefit, as it's slightly faster than the competition.

I omitted Lenovo from the scene. And if I take your word for Dell, won't Asus's quad core be advantageous over dual core and also it has turbo boost to 2.5 ghz over 2 ghz?

Yes, indeed the Pentium does have more cores and does have a higher clock speed on 'boost' - which entirely depends upon cooling performance and battery life, but it's standard clock rate is 1.1ghz and does not have hyper-threading.

However, the i3 can maintain a standard clock speed of 2ghz, plus it's implemented with hyper-threading, which utilises the 2 virtual cores i.e 2 cores/4 threads, which does make a difference.
