Hey guys,

I've been trying to connect my DVD player, cable box, and Smart TV. The box and tv are already connected via HDMI cable, but the DVD doesn't have that output - it's an old one. My question is, how can I get these three all wired if the DVD player only has AV cables? Should it be connected to the box? Can it still work if the box is connected via HDMI?

Thanks.

Your TV should have at least one non-HDMI input that you can use if your DVD doesn't have HDMI (component or composite video and left right analog audio). You can't connect a DVD to the cable box. If the TV doesn't have another type of input then pick up a bluray player to replace the DVD. Refurbs start about $40.
