Question Connecting an external speaker to Toshiba TV

Hi, I have a Toshiba 40BV700B, and recently bought this speaker (https://www.bomaker.com/products/bomaker-2-1-soundbar-with-subwoofer-tapio-v). I thought it was connected properly but no sound is coming out from the speaker only the TV. Any help would be appreciated.

How are you connecting it? Did you change the audio output on the TV to match what the soundbar is connected to?
