Connecting four terminal speakers

I have speakers that have four connection terminals. Is it okay to use one set to connect a receiver and the other to connect a HDD audio player system? They will never play at the same time.

What is the Brand and Model # of the speakers? It may be that they are capable of being bi-amplified, meaning one amplifier would drive the tweeter/mid range and one amp would drive the woofer. (just guessing).
