my tv has hdmi input whereas my pc has not? How do I connect both and recieve digital signals?

Is there any other way to connect both. I can see a VGA slot in my laptop, but I heard that it carries only analog signal. Please let me know...I have shifted base to states and need to watch the India England Cricket match this Sunday

Does the TV have a VGA input? Most HDTV's have such an input and you could always do that. The other option would be get a VGA to HDMI converter. Perhaps something like this:

If your laptop doesn't have an HDMI output, you'll be stuck with the analog signal regardless.
