Connecting PS3 to PC Monitor without Internal Speakers (Dell UP2414Q)

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to hook up my PS3 with my PC monitor (Dell UP2414Q). The problem is that there is no internal speakers in the monitor, hence I cannot get any sound. Are there any other ways that I can hook them up and still get sound (maybe via laptop and speakers/headphones)? I have tried looking online but being a noob I cannot really comprehend them.

are you hooked up via hdmi? you could always put a hdmi audio extractor in line then and pull an analog sound signal out of them from that which you can run to some pc speakers.

likewise, usb headsets meant for ps3 would work.
