Connecting Samsung smart TV to wireless network

I'm trying to connect my month old Samsung smart TV to the wireless but whenever i go into settings and search for wireless networks to connect to, it will search for networks but never find any and time out. I know the wireless connection is fine as there are several laptops and handheld devices all working perfectly fine on it. Also distance isn't a problem as my laptop and iPod work with almost full bars in the same area as the TV...
The model is UA55ES7500MXXY any ideas?
