Solved! Connecting soundbar to tv

Hi,

I recently purchased Bose soundbar 700 and am not able to connect it to my tv. My tv seems to not have HDMI ARC port. Surprisingly it doesnt have an optical port too!

The TV is from TCL Model No. L48E3900FS. It does have a standard Audio out port. I have a cable set top box but the same doesnt have multiple HDMI ports or optical port.
What is the best way to connect the same. Please help. Thanks!

"Standard audio out" well OK make sure this is REALLY audio and is an OUT, and not IN. then you should be able to connect to soundbar's LINE-IN/AUX-IN *IF* it has one. U will be getting stereo only, no surround.

Thanks for the response.

Checked with my headphones, it is audio out as I could hear the audio on my headphones.

The soundbar onmy has an optical and an HDMI ARC port and no other one.

Lucky for you, they sell converters to everything, like THIS. Only caveat is, stereo only.
