prisoner> just got in jail after facebook blew my alibi when i used it to update my status while i was murdering. found a great place to hide all my weapons and drugs in a hole behind the sink!

prison warden likes this.

30 years would be a good sentence if he was sitting in his cell contemplating his actions and doing community service instead of partying and using Facebook. Hell, how is it possible he's using the internet? Convicts should not have the ability to communicate with the outside world except for the occasional telephone call.

For all we know the sheriff deserved it. Power corrupts. Way too may officers use their badge as a shield. They think they can disrespect people and get away with it. Maybe they were at a standoff and the officer was telling him to drop the gun and get on the 130 degree asphalt. F that. I'd rather shoot the cop.

i have to agree to an extent. i live in an area where the cops are obscenely fat, as in as out of shape as i am, i could out run them all. and all they do is bust people for speeding, they wont even go to places where drug trades are happening, but less than 5 miles over the speed limit gets you a ticket.

here is another fun thing they did, about 2 years ago they moved a speed limit sign 300 yards, a sign that was there for 20+ years, and no one knew about it, and they pulled over 50+ people a day for a week, just because of that sign alone.

the cops where i live have NO respect at all from me.

and here is the thing i will never understand, why is it worse to kill a cop than a civilian? cops are there and know is dangerous, but a civilian doesn't. i don't get why you get a worse sentence for killing a cop than a civilian.

I've always thought that a killer should stay in jail for as long as their victim stays dead, and if and when the corpse gets up and starts walking and talking, well maybe we will consider releasing the perp,, maybe,....Jail should be a place of punishment, and rehabilitation, of and by the inmate, not for the inmate,, we cannot walk in another's shoes, or do their time/life for them, if you can't do the time, don't do the crime ...:)

[citation][nom]tsnorquist[/nom]I really wish the prison system would do something useful with prisoners, like picking up all the trash littering our environment.[/citation] Like Make them run in hamster wheels to generate some electricity for the public for 30 minutes every hour. for 8 hours.

yes ! the MOST important thing is to stop them from using cellphones .... cos then they can't expose the corruption going on in the prison ! ... such a smart idea!!!

what you mean the fact that prisons are little more than schools to teach criminals to be more criminal, or that prisoners and guards have an understanding in most prisons, "we don't f s up if you let us do what we going to do"

Great idea on the giant Hamster wheel... more likely to happen if used to power their own prisons... 😉

Personally, I don't see how this guy would have access to a computer as prisoners aren't allowed to own computers or devices with cameras. People who visit inmates, DO NOT get access beyond the visitors area.

In prison, a visitation usually means a body cavity search before and after.

The report is most likely a hoax.... like the guy IS so smart to have a facebook page and hide his wares - yet dumb enough to throw parties and smoke weed?!

I spent 3 years for a drug sale 20 years ago.
Yes, I kept a knife. The simple fact is that prison is very dangerous and if you aren't prepared to defend yourself there is not a bad chance that you will end up raped or worse.
Yes, I smoked weed in prison. Try locking yourself in one room and staying there for month after month. The boredom is intense.
Yes, many of these people need to be there. But, does it really matter if they're high? No.

Sooo... a guy who flashes with his laser gets 16 months in prison, but a fully intentional killer gets only 30 years.

(sarcasm) Seems fair. (/sarcasm)
