Hi since yesterday I am experiencing an extremely slow surfing times without any apparent reason. What is making me suspicious that someone overtook my connection is that I get the message "Secure Connection Failed" when trying to access pages and it is happening sometimes on every site. I mean I can try to enter to Google and get "Secure Connection Failed" error and when I try again it will enter (although very slowly). I am getting the internet witlessly.. And of course I tried to reset the router.

Any insights?

THanks

"Secure Connection Failed" simply means your web browser was unable to connect to a secure website (one starting with "https" like a banking website), it does not mean you've been hacked. You have a connection problem on those secure sites.

Try restarting Windows.

Consider trying a different web browser.

This will give you peace of mind and should also fix your problems.

Install Malwarebytes: https://www.malwarebytes.org/ and update malware definitions in the proram (will see an update function)

Install Spybot Search & Destroy: https://www.safer-networking.org/ and update malware definitions in the proram (will see an update function)

Install TDSSKiller: https://support.kaspersky.com/us/viruses/utility and update malware definitions in the proram (will see an update function)

Install Super Anti-SPyware: http://www.superantispyware.com/ and update malware definitions in the proram (will see an update function)

Once you have all the programs installed boot into safe mode and run TDSS Killer first, this should detect and remove Bootkits and Rootkits. Once you have finished with TDSS Killer, use the other programs to scan and remove hardware, this should remove all other malware.

Once you have ran all these tools in safe mode you should run this repair tool to fix any damage caused by malware: http://www.tweaking.com/content/page/windows_repair_all_in_one.html

If you like this answer please pick as the solution.

Thanks and good luck.

Nothing like a good cleansing. haha

All that might be overkill, though. At least for me :p
