CPU UPGRADE for lenovo G510

Hi,

I am using a Lenovo G510 laptop. I was wondering whether I could upgrade my existing i3 4000M processor to an i7 4700MQ processor.

My chip-set is Intel(r) 8 series sata ahci controller - 8c03

Will this be supported or compatible with my motherboard...??

If this upgrade is possible, will this increase my gaming performance or performance of the laptop altogether..?? Please Help...!!

I don't see why not since the laptop was available with the i7. You may need an upgraded cooler though; if there was one, to support the i7.
