cracked touch screen help

I opened my Acer V5 touch screen laptop to clean the fan and cracked the touch screen at the lower left corner. The screen still works, but now there are constant ghost touches. I can't even disable the touchscreen either. My question is: would the cracked screen cause the ghost touches or is it another problem such as static electricity?

Its the screen, its cracked, and probably activating the touch sensor on every slight movement. Replace the screen.
