Currently contacts to SD card

Getting an updated phone S8. Want to ensure that all my contacts/phone numbers and all current apps especially calander is backed up on my SD card. We all know that glitches occur when purchasing a new phone. So to ensure that no information is lost, please advise. Photos already backed up in cloud.ty

Go to contacts, do an Export to file, it is probably in the Settings options from the menu. Once you Export it you may want to run an Import and select saving the contacts to your Google account, that way you will have them saved outside of your SD card as well.

I also backed up to cloud for extra assurance. I really had to search through this old Samsung mini 4 to find the correct method to ensure/prevent any loss of contacts. Ty
