I bought a 1TB WD hard drive to use as storage since my main storage (where windows is installed) is a 240gb SSD

when I tried to initialize the HDD through disk management i received "Data error (Cyclic Redundancy Check)"

Is there a solutio for this? I was looking for some way to entirely format the disk but windows does not recognize it

thanks in advance...

Hi, thanks for replying

Returning it will be difficult because I'm from outside the US, I ordered it from Amazon and sending it back might be a problem. Is there a way I can format it if windows doesn't recognize it? Maybe from BIOS? Because when I tried to initialize it I was able to choose the disk's name as well as the label (D :) but that does not appear, the disk shows as unknown and not initialized

P.D. sorry for my redaction, my mother tongue is spansh, it is hard to find the right way to express myself sometimes :)
