Wow, just WOW! This is horrendous, how could you kill your own flesh and blood?! And over something so RIDICULOUS. If he had any human decency he would have committed suicide instead of fleeing the scene.

[citation][nom]landerx74[/nom]Couldn't he sacrifice a lamb instead! Good grief! And the picture from the Shining is just plain bad form!! [/citation]

WOW, crazyness!!! Killing over a video game it just shows you that u never know what would trigger someone to kill even your own blood.

this title is misleading and its because of people like Kevin Parrish that stupid news get twisted in a way that video games are always at fault.

@melvis72: I'm sorry is reporting what the incident was over offensive? The story here doesn't assign blame per say, it merely reports what the argument was about. If they had said it was over who was getting the last piece of cake would you have complained they were blaming cake?

im sure the alcohol had a much bigger part to play than the video game - if they didnt have a console it probably would have been over what channel was on tv.

“What I’m concerned about is the violence,” said State District Judge Marc Carter.

Is this guy kidding? What else would he be concerned about, the video game missing? A possible theft? What kind of idiot is this judge that he felt he needed to say this?

Anyone who can shoot someone in the neck while plastered must be a really good shot. If he got that from playing the video game, maybe they should use this game as part of basic training.

The worst part is this will give bad rep to the video game industry when the video game had little to do with it, the key thing here was the "dad was DRUNK" it was his anger issues and alcohol that made him attack, not a video game! But let's just watch how the media turns this into video games make people violent!

hold up! bond? $100,000? the guy has a criminal history, shoots and kills his own son, and they even allow the remote possibility of him being let loose?

* meanwhile, elsewhere in the united states*

a kid gets caught smoking some weed, and sells some to his friends, and gets life without parole.

Good point Obi. When's the last time you've heard of someone smoking some marijuana, and then violently attacking someone?

That's what alcohol does to you... plus he's nuts, ruthless, heartless and born a killer. There is no excuse. He must be imprisoned for life for the life he took.

How is this useful? How does this help society? You took a life, and now you get to live off of people the rest of your life? This doesn't make sense. There are better things to do with really bad people, not that this guy necessarily is one - I don't want to judge based on such limited information, however damning it seems.

Two ideas come to mind. Parachute him and a few bottles of whiskey (some schwag, nothing expensive) into a country we don't like. For example, how about that region in Pakistan where all the violence is occurring? Iran? France?

Or, use the really bad ones for medical testing. Why should animals suffer so? Most of them did nothing wrong. On top of this, the best test for humans, is on humans. Sure, he took a life, but, if he's used for medical testing, how many can he save with what they learn? It's a chance for him to redeem himself. Why is it so much easier to harm innocent animals, who are without blame, than humans who are purely evil?
