Dead Headset, or Dead 3.5mm ports?

I am having trouble with my headset, and I can’t tell whether it’s the headset or if it’s the ports on my computer case and motherboard.

Issues so far:
*Left side of the headset doesn’t play any audio
*Left side will make static sounds if the audio settings are over 50%
*Microphone will not work if I plug it into the front panel
*Wiggling the cable a little bit will make the headset buzz

I’m using hyperx cloud core headset, with the extension cable as well.

I want to know if my 3.5mm ports are broken, or if my headset is dying.

Might be the ports. Get some cheap pair of earbuds from the dollar store and test it (or speakers)
