Del D630 turns off

Hi all

Got a d630 that turns off a few seconds after turning on, sometimes a minute. If I keep hold of the power button it will stay on through to booting into windows. Only tried upto 5minutes as not easy to keep hold of it

I’ve removed ram, swapped hdd, disconnected cmos battery and still the same


Any ideas what this could be?

Probably a failing PSU.

External power supply?

I get the same if being switched on with charged battery
