Dell 15-7560 Ethernet Port Replacement

My Laptop's Ethernet port is damaged. Was thinking of getting it fixed by dell service. They have suggested to replace the entire motherboard. As my laptop is out of warranty, I would have to pay for it.
Meanwhile, I found the part which needs replacement on aliexpress.

Is it recommended to go ahead and buy this to get it soldered by an expert, or just deal with it using other USB to ethernet options.

i wouldnt recommend soldering your board. usb to ethernet is a much cheaper, much less risky option that will work fine.

Thanks n3rdr4ge for your answer. I have visited a service center and they have suggested the same. To put hands on a motherboard for such a small thing is risky as you have mentioned.
Will be buying one of those USB Ethernet adapters. You can suggest me the specification to prefer to mimic the Ethernet port with regards to speed and consistency.

Any new ethernet adapter will match (and probably exceed) the specs of your busted one.
