dell 2330 as monitor without motherboard

Hi, sorry if this isn't the best place to ask this but I figured that since an aio is more of a laptop then this would be the best place.
I have an old dell inspiron one 2330 and the motherboard failed so I'd like to use it as a monitor(without the motherboard) for another computer. It has VGA and hdmi in on a i/o board that is off the motherboard (below is a link to a ebay listing of the board, as a reference). Now I can use it as a monitor one problem, sometimes the 2330 computer turns on (which it does randomly) so I'd like to remove the motherboard, hdd and eveything thats not related to the monitor. Only problem is that I cant find any info on the i/o board. So my question would be has anyone here done this before, or know where I can get some info on the io board? cause if I can power it I think it should work.

They make adapters that you can connect to a laptop LCD panel for use as a monitor. You will need to do a bit of research what exactly you need for your screen.
