Dell cursor invisible

Hi all
Since I have attached an external screen with my DELL XPS laptop, the cursor has become invisible on the laptop screen - yet visible on the external screen.
Because the cursor is now invisible on the laptop screen, I have to use the 'control' button to find the cursor and then press enter etc.
Frustrating - as I'm not sure how to fix this.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Before you can drag a window from your laptop screen to the external screen, you must extend your display by changing your display settings.
