Dell G7 overheating?

Hello,
I'm not sure what to do with my Laptop. I have a Dell G7 with i7 8750 and 1060 Q-max. I've had it for about 3 months. It has been running pretty good until about a week ago. It started shutting off randomly. It would then not turn back on. After a few hours it will turn back on. It does not always shut down sometimes i can use it for hours with no shut downs. I think it may be a temperature problem. Temp will spike very fast sometimes and fans seem to kick in way to slow .
I've run a few tests and also reinstalled windows 10.

idle temp is about 45-50.
Benchmark temp is peak 99
Undervolting to -125
Benchmark temp is peak of 94

The Fan kicks in around 85 I think however is seems to turn off as soon as temp starts to lower.

I'm wondering if i should send it in for warranty work or try re-pasting it first.

Thanks for your thoughts!

If it's only 3 months old it shouldn't need the thermal paste replacing, and in any event doing so could void that warranty you mentioned.

Consequently, I'd take advantage of the warranty now if you are inclined to do that.
