I'd like to play DayZ on Medium Graphics with atleast 40 FPS, is it possible?
I currently have this laptop and it barely runs the game on the minimum graphics with 28 FPS..
Do I need to change a CPU or something?

With DayZ here's the system requirements for minimum and recommend settings for your reference. But let me tell you this most of the time and in your case it's the graphics card that needs an upgrade.
