Hello.
On my Dell Inspiron N5110, my "S" key has stopped working. Only the one key is not working. Every other key is fine
At first I tried restarting the computer, since that has solved this issue in the past. This did not solve the problem.
I then pulled the key off and sprayed it with compressed air. I also tried using a q-tip to gently clean around the inside of the key. There was still no change.
I also tried the on-screen keyboard. The key DID work on the on-screen keyboard.
So I figured this must be some sort of hardware issue, but I'm not sure if there are any other steps to take before looking into replacing a key or the whole keyboard.
Any help about how to possibly clean the key better or diagnose the problem more thoroughly would be much appreciated.
