Dell Inspiron Refusing to Start

My Dell Inspiron Laptop refuses to get started form "cold" status ( if left off for more than 30 minutes). I have been experimenting with using a Hair blower (adjusted to very hot) to heat the Processor for approx. 2 minutes. That usually gets it up and running, by pressing the Pwr button,,,.... What would account for such behaviour?

Bad contacts on the motherboard, maybe in the CPU socket. Heat expands things, better connection, system works.
