Dell instruction manual for inspiron 1545 laptop

I notice on my dell inspiron 1545 I have no indication light or anything to tell me if my caps lock is on or off I have no way of knowing this tell i start to type. How can I get a indication of some sort to tell me if this is on or off??????

Is this a new issue? 1545s have been out a couple years.
Have you made any changes to your laptop?
