Hi,
I am in desperate need of some assistance. At work few of us use the same laptop which is Dell Latitude E5430. Yesterday when i came to work i noticed i couldn't even log in using laptop's keyboard because when typing in password most characters were adding extras when typing. I managed to log in after plugging external keyboard. I have checked control panel and language is set to English, etc. i am not sure what's going on but certain letters, for example a,s,q,j,k,l,o add more letters when typing. but others incl d,c,f,g, are fine and don't add anything extra when typing.
keyboard built into laptop doesn't have light on numlock so i can't even say it's on. i have seen somewhere online that it might be something to do with it. i have a feeling someone has pressed Shift or something else for too long and it's messed everything up. unfortunately our IT support is in another city and it will take forever for anyone to help us out. i can't really reset the whole system as don't have Windows CD Installation and can't really lose things we have work related on the laptop.
i am back at work tomorrow afternoon and i need to solve this issue ASAP.
thanks in advance for all your help.
