My laptop froze while witching a movie,and scratches appeared on the screen and even the power button won't work.After i removed the battery the laptop even won't turn on.please assist.
 
Solution
The scratches you saw may have been "artifacts" (as they are called) from the video card, which means it could be dead or close to. This can be caused by extreme overheating. The laptop's cooling system needs cleaning as it may have gathered a lot of dust. The thermal paste from the CPU and GPU needs changing as well. Best to do this in an IT service if you don't know how to do it yourself.
