Denon AVR-50 surround receiver and Bose speakers(not sure how old) and a Sony Bravia HDTV

Is it possible to connect older Denon receiver with Bose speakers to a new Sony Bravia HDTV. I have tried to connect, but cannot get sound to come through.

Should be just fine, how are you connecting them? Do you have the right inputs and/or outputs selected? Make sure the cables are in properly and maybe try with new cables.
