Denon AVR590 subwoofer issues

I have a Denon 5.1 AVR590 home theatre system. I recently moved it and since have not been able to get the subwoofer to work. It is hooked up correctly, plugged in with a green light on the back, and I have checked the configuration where it says subwoofer=yes. Any further tricks or ideas to figure out why it isn't working?

Check that the sub is correctly connected.
Also make sure that the level on the sub and the sub level on the receiver are set correctly.
A bad cable might be the problem. Try a different cable even it is too short to use permanently.
