I have an Acer Aspire desktop Model AM5910-E2532 running Intel i7-860 , windows 10 64 bit, 8 GB DDR3 Ram, 1.5 TB HD,and ATI Radeon HD5570-1024MB video card. Will this work as the heart of my HTPC and what if any changes should I make to it?

Solution
No reason why it would not, since it's for media play-back, don't need to change anything. Only thing I may add is an SSD drive, but that is not "needed", just nice to have for fast boot times and program response.
i'm using an i7-920, 6gb ram, originally a gtx470 (now gtx770) as a general use pc (media pc, gaming, forums, movies, etc) and it works fine. as long as you have good hdmi output its perfectly fine for htpc use (i used a dvi to hdmi cable on my last card without hdmi and it worked just as good)
