Sorry its not possible.

IP addresses can and do change depending on what it is connected to.

Call your local police department and report it stolen. Provide as much details as possible.

However depending on the tech savviness of the person who stole it, you may possibly never recover it.

whoever stole the laptop isn't not going to have the same ip address as you did when or if they connect to the internet. its probably best to file a police report and/or check with your insurance to see if theft is covered.
