I typed in "League of legends" on Bing, and I clicked the first result which was marked as a Ad and the website had a URL like "leagueoflegends/F2P.com" The thing in that URL that scared me was the "F2P" I never seen that in the original.

I ran a quick run security scan on McAfee and nothing came up, is it possible I have a virus that could be undetectable by anti-virus software?

There are some useful addons like WEB OF TRUST that can help as well.

Many malware detection algorithms only work if you are DOWNLOADING the corrupted file.

You should have multiple levels of protection:

1. Create automatic backup Images (i.e. Acronis true Image)

2. Browser plugins (i.e. WOT, Adguard Adblocker)

3. Antivirus plus Firewall

I can't find any free adblockers for Microsoft edge. And another important thing to include when I clicked the link the URL changed to "tracker" something and redirected me to either the real site or a fake one *I don't want to go back to check*.

I ran a mcafee quick scan and nothing showed up. But again it was only a quick scan which I don't know how effective those type of scan are compared to full scan.
