easy as hell, you just sell the game to someone outside , with paypal or something, THEN you give your GAME as A GIFT inside STEAM!!! 😛

[citation][nom]burfordg[/nom]Yes, but piracy is still a lot lower on consoles than it is on PCs, because you don't void your warranty when you pirate for PCs, and it's a lot harder to get caught. I think one of the big reasons people are complaining is simply due to the fact that by eliminating dedicated servers, it ruins chances for pirates to play the game illegally.I saw that on Kotaku earlier today, and I gotta ask: what is that about hosts having 0 ping in MW2? I do believe that an article posted here on Tom's specifically stated that the game would provide roughly the same ping for everyone.[/citation]

and thats completely utter BS. you cant have same ping for everyone. unless you scatter the players according to sections. and it will never mean everyone will have a ping lower than 100, (unless you rent or install localized servers for each country )
so if we have 500 players from america and 100 from latinoamerica...
how do you fit these latins inside the other games? or you they isolate these gamers and force these latins to be out of the way from the other gamers because of their ping?

I understand where they come from on this one. You don't see your local retail market carrying anything with the Walfart brand name on it. And you ne\/er will. I smell yet another lawsuit coming up.

Looks like IW was lazy again and decided to just use steams store front instead of making their own. Just like they decided to just develope for the console and port it to the PC.... Or how they decided to say "Fuck you" to the PC audience instead of fixing the game after hearing all the backlash. They seem to be getting a track record for the "easy way out"

I can understand their point: If they sell the game they are being forced to sell a competitor's service. What company would want to sell something for their competitor knowing that in the long run it can hurt them (if MW2 does it what will stop other companies and future games?).

I have no intention of buying this game because of all the neglect of PC users.

I think the Steam DRM technology and software delivery technology is great. It works better than any other copy protection scheme. But, I agree - there are 2 problems:
1. You can't sell your software
2. Steam has a twisted marketing program that uses the delivery technology to market their products - which is anti-competitive.
