Disable LTE or Enable?

I got T-Mobile Carrier and it doesn't seem to have LTE in my area beside 4G. Would performance matter if I disabled LTE via setting or just leave it on? I live in a place where I get like 1-3 bar most of the time so I won't know the differences. My iphone 5 display 4G only but not LTE like other carrier...

Hello,

I would recommend disabling the LTE if your carrier doesn't offer it in your area. Reason being is because, the phone will continue searching for an LTE signal causing more battery consumption. I really don't think there is a performance difference.
