Yes I meant hidden. I figured out how to do it. Now I wonder how I can
confirm it (SSID Hidden) since Win XP still sees it?

WinXP should not see the SSID if it has the broadcast turned off.

More likely, it doesn't "see" it, but it "saw" it, before you disabled
it, and it has a good memory.

Would this still hold true even after many restarts. If yes, then is there a
way to confirm that my wireless SSID is hidden?

BTW hiding my wireless SSID is not my only means of securing my network. I
also use WEP security (I have two computers using Win98 so I cannot use 256
bit security) and MAC filtering. I also password protect my shared hard
drives.

Yes, I think so. I think that once it's seen the network, it
"remembers" it in the registry.

Simple to check. Change the SSID and see if the xp computer sees it.
