Disc problem on laptop.

Switch on laptop, up pops a message "one of your discs has a problem". How many discs are there, how do I know which one is playing up?
Acer aspire 5738z, running Windows 7 home premium.
Runs ok in safe mone. Help, please!

1. Open "Start" menu
2. In "Search programs and files" type: cmd.exe
3. Right click on it and "Run as administrator"
4. In CMD window type:

Chkdsk /f /r

5. It will take a while so be patient, after it's finished restart your laptop.
