Display issue

Hello,
i have a acer aspire, water was spilled onto the lid
i let it dry out for over 24 hours before amtemping to turn it on. when i turn it on the display didnt come on
i then hooked it to a spare monitor and everthing works!
any ideas what the problm is???

Most likely the water seep through. Did you ply open the screen front and back cover the and let the actual screen to dry?

no, just found out how to do that iv been running it though, think its too late?
