Solved! Display resolution changing

I have lenovo ip310. Its display resolution is 1366*768 but it had broken last week can i set a 1080p display for the laptop? Its graphics is intel hd 520.

Please explain what you mean by "it had broken" - - - what happened exactly?

Hi, sorry but you only have one LVDS channel on the motherboard for the screen, the 1080p screen needs two LVDS channels to work. So you can't use a 1080p screen with your laptop.

Since you haven't replied, I'll assume"broken" refers to the laptop's screen.

In that case you'll need to get the screen replaced or connect a standard 18"/18.5" widescreen external monitor to it.
Your laptop's GPU cannot cope with a 1080p monitor.

However, it's not going to be much good as a portable computer with a desktop monitor hanging off it! - - so I suggest you get the laptop's own screen fixed.
