So I have an old Toshiba satellite laptop, this one: http

I've been doing some research and it looks like I can change the CPU, which I want to do cuz its Been sitting for years and it use to get hot so I was gonna pull the cooler off and add some liquid metal so I might as well change it right. The current CPU is an athelon p320 a 2 core 2.1ghz 1mb cache but it is the same socket and tdw as a phenom ii p960, but the p960 is a 4 core 2mb cache 1.8ghz CPU. I plan on using this media center as a plex server and nas Storage. My question is, is it just as easy to change the CPU on a laptop, as long as its the same socketn power it should just plug and play? And will the p390 give me better performance as a streaming box? Like does more cores n cache do more good than the lower clock speed?
