My mom recently got antenna for her TV and I just gave her my Nexus player Netflix. For some reason, when the Nexus player is plugged in, most of her channels go away. It's happened reliably three times.

Can anyone tell me - Are these interacting, how, and can I make it stop?

Sound like the Nexus is radiating radio frequency interference that screws up her over the air reception.
If you can move the antenna away from the Nexus that might help.
Try moving the Nexus away from the TV too,
You could try using aluminum foil around the Nexus as a shield.
Otherwise your options are to unplug the Nexus when not in use or get a different Android TV box that might not interfere with the signal.
