Does anyone know some good headsets?

Hi there,
I recently bought a new PC and a few peripherals to go with it. I made some mistakes with the headset however. The headsets microphone isn't very good on skype even at max pick up volume and it picks up a lot of background noise.

I want to buy a new one but have looked on some sites between the £30-£50 range and cant find anything I'm sure will be good, can someone help me find something good? Ideally with a microphone which is on one of those bendable poles? I don't mind what colour it is as long as its not over the top.

I use the Turtle Beach x12... It has held together for years, has a great microphone, I've sat on it before on accident and it didn't break, and I bought it for about $20 USD.
