Does model/version affect update?

Hi I have the samsung galaxy s4 sgh-i337 with a version number i337ucuemk2. I have been trying to update it to lollipop for some time now since it is stuck at jelly bean 4.3. What would happen if i were to download some other version number's stock firmware onto this phone? Would it work or would the phone not run at all?
