Does the Asus Strix 7.1 work with the ps4 with Surround sound

I don't think it can.

The Strix 7.1 comes with its own USB station that acts as its sound processor as well as the power supply for the headset’s internal speakers and the needlessly bright lighting effects. Since the USB station is driver-supported, the headset will not work with the PS4 or the Xbox One.

And from what ive seen it is driver free. So im still not sure

The Asus site doesn't mention the two consoles in its platform support so it could be an expensive experiment to see which is right: https/www.asus.com/au/Headphones-Headsets/STRIX_71/specifications/

there are a few videos around that link the two but I can't understand them as they not in English and translations using youtube don't make it any easier to understand

whats difference between the DSP & the 7.1?

DSP supports ps4 according to here: https/www.asus.com/au/Headphones-Headsets/STRIX_DSP/, it says it in the over view. and platform page so I would get it instead of 7.1 if you want to use them for PS4: https/www.asus.com/au/Headphones-Headsets/STRIX_DSP/specifications/
