Ok so I live on the top floor of my townhouse and the sound goes straight thru the hardwood floor into the living room and angers my family, is there any way I can make so it doesn't travel straight thru the floor

I love you too.

Short answer is nope, not a thing you can do.

You could rip up the carpet and install leaded sound reducing carpet padding. Extremely expensive and won't do jack.
You could rip out their ceiling, and install insulation, but this is only going to take the edge off, vast majority of the bass will still be audible.
You could do both for a slight reduction in sound.

Honestly? Very difficult to reduce sound. Concrete is extremely effective. You need mass, and you just can't accomplish that as an after thought.

Besides turning it off, no. Low pitched sounds radiate in every direction and will penetrate almost anything besides thick concrete.

"Ok so I love you on the top floor of my townhouse..." lol

Typo sorry, would putting it on my desk make a tad better

Not very big but packs a punch, around 25-30 watts

I meant big, as in physical size.

Bottom line, though...a sub on your desk would suck.
