Downloads stopping in the middle

I've been having this problem for a while now. With really big downloads (like in the 200mb-gig range) from sites like Megaupload, Rapidshare etc. my downloads tend to stop in the middle. What's going on with this?

I use chrome primarily but this problem happens in IE5 and Firefox as well (tested it to check).

Any suggestions? My AV is ESET Nod32 and I'm using XP.

Maybe your ISP doesn't like pirate sites.

but they let you download just enough so that you fly towards your download limit faster...

so they can shape your connection...

or start charging excess download usage. lol

Well I'm not pirating I'm trying to download some massive gaming mods.
