DSLR Stabilizer from amazon.ca?

Solution

Inexpensive ones are fine, cheap ones are not and may break, especially at the joint, which would cause the camera to fall. You'll have to see reviews on the structural strength of that particular one (and any others you consider)
That should be fine, but are you sure you want to trust a >$1000 camera to a cheap stabilizer?

You can also check out the Glidecam XR-2000, which is known to be good, as well as ones from Steadicam (same company movie studios use for their rigs)

Would having a cheaper stabilizer risk the safety of my camera? As far as I'm aware it would just have a less stable video as a result. Although I will definitely check out your recommendations thanks!
