I installed Windows 7 and after my time expired I was forced to reinstall Windows Vista. After the reinstallation, my laptop (toshiba x205-9349) does not recognize that the disc drive exists. I've searched many forums and tried to delete the Upper/LowerFilters like the majority of them say to do and still no luck. My bios does not recognize that the drive exists either. This is a new drive as the laser of the first one died on me. Any thoughts? Any help is kindly appreciated! Thanks you all of your time!

I've just realized that my subwoofer doesn't work as well...so i'm assuming the drivers of some of my hardware devices are not working. But I tried to install a new driver for my hd/dvd player and it says it cannot install because the device does not exist...which i'll assume would do this for all the "missing" devices. What can I do? Please help. Thanks.
