Dvd drive will not accept disks

was ejecting a disk and it hit the mouse so it did not eject all the way and now it will not accept new disk..will not pull it in. i have tried ejecting it again to perhaps reset the system. i have turned the puter off. nothing works so far.
how can i reset the thing?

The elecro-mechanical drive might have been damaged. New DVD drives run around $20 these days. Replace.
