Solved! DVD & mini projector = no sound

I recently bought a DRJ mini projector HI-04. I can't get audio from DVDs. Using Sony BluRay player via HDMI. Got Netflix streaming audio to work by playing with audio settings. Can't get DVD sound to play.
Anyone have suggestions?

Did you try changing the Sony audio output type in the player set up menu?
When you play a disc try selecting a different audio output in the disc menu.
